of Śrī Vyāsa-pūjā
Vyasa-puja is a sacred day for a disciple, dedicated to expressing gratitude and reverence to the spiritual teacher, who, following in the footsteps of the great sage Vyasadeva, opens the doors to higher knowledge and spiritual perfection.
The celebration of Vyasa-puja inspires disciples not only to recognize the irreplaceable role of the Guru in their spiritual lives but also to express their deep respect through sincere prayers and service, re-evaluating their commitments on the path of bhakti.
The Srimad-Bhagavatam (11.3.21) states: "any person who seriously desires real happiness must seek a bona fide spiritual master and take shelter of him." The spiritual teacher stands at the heart of a disciple’s life, serving as the guide who connects the practitioner to the Lord. He reveals the essence of the scriptures, directs the disciple toward devotional practice, and helps overcome the illusions of the material world.
